Blogging Phases and Christmas

So I guess I go through blogging phases! Sometimes I am really good about blogging and other times not so much... I still can't find my camera so I am hoping that maybe because I don't have any pictures is why I never seem to blog and not just my laziness. :)
Everything is pretty much the same in our lives. Jesse is almost done with school and I am looking to find a new job, but not too hopeful. Both our families are doing great and are packing the holiday season with lots of activities!
I am so excited for the Christmas season because I love the songs, the smells, and the spirit that it brings! Jesse and I seem to have started a tradition with us and are not going to be getting each other presents again this year and we don't mind one bit!
Last year we couldn't afford a Christmas at all and didn't get one single gift for each other. Some would think it was sad, but we had a blast! We didn't have to worry about the hustle and bustle of the stores and didn't get wrapped up in the commercialism Christmas can sometimes bring. We focused more on the true meaning by making homemade gifts for our families. It was so much more enjoyable without the stress and worry to get in our way. We spent a lot of time together and did a lot of free Christmas activities that kept the fun rolling!!
So to those of you without kids (seems easier because we don't have kids yet) or even if you do have kids try to tone down the commerical part of Christmas this year and let the true spirit and fun shine through! Material things will diminish eventually, but the memories and relationships never will! :)
